TrustFord, the UK’s largest Ford dealer group, has achieved international recognition after winning a Green World Environment Award in the global search for the world’s greenest companies, countries and communities.

The Green World Awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an international, independent, non-political and non-profit environmental group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental excellence across the globe.

The award recognises the Dealer Group’s ongoing work to reduce emissions across its property portfolio, with a focus on both new and existing buildings. As part of this commitment, they have introduced a range of measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions, including air source heating, solar generation, LED lighting, underfloor heating and building management system controls, alongside achieving external environmental accreditations.

A major step forward in reducing the Group’s carbon emissions has been the installation of photovoltaic (PV) generation at the Ford Store Dagenham and Parts Plus Distribution Centre in Thurrock, helping to generate renewable energy on-site.
