At TrustFord, we believe that being a responsible business goes beyond providing vehicles—it’s about playing an active role in the communities we serve and helping to protect the environment around us. That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with Clean Up Britain to take on one of the UK’s most persistent environmental challenges: roadside and vehicle-related litter.
It is widely recognised that a significant proportion of litter in the UK originates from vehicles and as one of the country’s leading providers of vehicles, we acknowledge our role in helping to address the issue at its source.
Across our business, we’re introducing educational “lunch and learn” sessions for colleagues in supervisory roles, as well as for our network of environmental champions. These sessions are designed to build awareness of the impact that littering—particularly from vehicles—has on our streets and rural roads across the UK.
We’re also using our platforms to support the wider movement. By amplifying Clean Up Britain’s campaigns through our social media channels, we hope to reach more people, spark conversations, and encourage more responsible behaviour.
And importantly, we’re empowering our colleagues to act in their own communities. Through our annual volunteer day initiative, team members are encouraged to get involved in local litter-picking efforts—giving their time to help keep the places they live and work clean.
Our CEO, Stuart Mustoe, explains why this partnership is so important: “At TrustFord, environmental responsibility is a core part of our wider Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. Our partnership with Clean Up Britain reflects our commitment to playing an active role in tackling roadside litter, raising awareness among our colleagues and customers, and supporting positive change in communities across the UK. As a volume retailer of vehicles, we want to do our bit to help and are proud to stand alongside Clean Up Britain in addressing this important issue.”
John Read, Managing Director of Clean Up Britain, added: “Littering from vehicles remains one of the most damaging and visible forms of environmental neglect in the UK. Partnerships like this with TrustFord are vital in helping us reach drivers at scale, change behaviours, and ultimately protect our shared environment for future generations. We are delighted to be working together on this important initiative.”
This partnership marks an important step in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices. By working together with Clean Up Britain—and with the support of our colleagues and communities—we believe we can help drive meaningful change.
