Green Dealer of the Year

TrustFord, the UK’s largest Ford dealer group has been awarded the ‘Green Dealer of the Year’ Award at the NFDA Spring Ball, in recognition of their work in the Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme.

Thirteen TrustFord sites have gained their Electric Vehicle Approved status to date - with more expected to follow.

The EVA scheme, which is endorsed by the Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and Energy Saving Trust, encourages dealerships to further develop their ability in selling and servicing electric vehicles and recognises dealers’ expertise in the electric vehicle sector and promotes industry standards for the benefit of the consumer.

To become accredited, retailers must demonstrate the highest level of expertise in both electric vehicle sales and aftersales. The Energy Saving Trust independently audits individual dealerships to verify that they meet a set of standards. These include the customer qualification process, staff knowledge & training, EV demonstration and handover processes.
