Christmas toy appeal for Yorkshire Children’s Centre Charity

Added: 20 September 2022

TrustFord Huddersfield is delighted to be supporting The Yorkshire Children's Centre by launching a local Christmas toy appeal.

Yorkshire Children's Centre supports children, young people and their families by inspiring change and giving everyone the opportunity for a better life. Their annual Christmas appeal aims to collect toys and gifts that will be gifted to underprivileged children around the community, including YCC service users, partner charities and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Local residents are invited to donate presents to the TrustFord Huddersfield showroom on St Andrews Road. The dealership is welcoming new, unwrapped gifts and toys for children up to 17 years of age, including toys, puzzles, DVDs, sports equipment, toiletry sets, selection boxes and gift vouchers.

On Friday 3rd December, TrustFord Huddersfield welcomed Councillor Viv Kendrick (Cabinet Member for Children) and Newsome Councillor Karen Allison to the dealership to officially launch the Christmas toy appeal.

Shaun Cahill, General Manager of TrustFord Huddersfield, said:

“I’m extremely proud of the team at Huddersfield for helping spread some Christmas cheer to local children in our community. The Yorkshire Children's Centre does a fantastic job, and we were delighted to support the charity and help the children in this way.

When people are buying gifts for friends or loved ones, we would be extremely grateful if they could buy an extra toy that can be donated to our showroom.”

New, unwrapped gifts and toys can be donated to TrustFord Huddersfield until Friday 17th December.

Stuart Foulds, Chairman and Chief Executive of TrustFord, added:

“At TrustFord being a good corporate citizen is a very natural part of how we do business, and we encourage our sites and colleagues to play an active role in their local communities.

I’m delighted to see our Huddersfield colleagues embody this through their initiative with the TrustFord toy appeal and help make a difference this Christmas. Thank you to everyone who has donated a gift to the appeal”.
