Career History

Stuart joined Ford Retail as a Trainee Accountant back in 1997 post graduating from Brunel University with a BA Hons in Business. He quickly progressed through the finance team holding various roles as Accountant / Financial Controller in London before taking the National lead for Finance within the Group.

November 2013 saw his appointment to the Board of Directors as Finance Director alongside his ACCA qualification. In early 2022 he held the position as Finance Director & Acting Chair / CEO. He was then appointed as Chief Executive Officer on 1st March 2023

Jon Williams

Career History

After 7 years as Vice President Sales, Ford of Europe, Jon Williams was appointed General Manager, Ford Blue, Europe in April 2022. 

Between 1990 and 2002 Williams held a variety of positions in Marketing, Sales & Aftersales  in Ford of Britain before moving to Ford in the US where he served in Global Product Marketing and then as Vice President Marketing for Land Rover North America.

By the end of 2002, Williams moved to Toyota as Marketing Director for Europe. Subsequently he was appointed Commercial Director of Toyota Great Britain, followed by President & Managing Director, Toyota Great Britain. From 2013 to 2015, Williams was Senior Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Motors in the United Arab Emirates running the Toyota, Lexus and Hino Distributorship and their wholly owned retail networks. Williams re-joined Ford in October 2015.

Shaun Glanville

Career History

Shaun has worked in a number of different Finance roles over a career spanning 35 years.  Previous roles include time in Spain as Finance Director and then as Plant Controller in Valencia, Head of Internal Audit for Ford of Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa, and as Finance Director, Ford of Britain. Shaun’s most recent role was Controller Profits and Operations, Ford of Europe.  Prior to appointment Shaun was a non-Executive Director on the TrustFord Board for three years.

Sharon Ashcroft
HR Director

Career History

Sharon has extensive HR experience in multi-site, retail businesses; having held positions in organisations including Personnel Manager GT News, Gamestation and CODA. She joined as Regional HR Manager for Yorkshire in August 2005 and was promoted to HR Manager for North and Central within 2 years. Having subsequently held the position of Head of HR for the Group, she was appointed HR Director in September 2013, at which time she joined the Board. Sharon also sits on the Board of Trustees for the Automotive Charity, Ben.

Responsibilities
Overseeing the HR function for the business, including Health & Safety, Internal Communications, Learning & Development as well as Pay & Reward and Pensions.

Mark Wilkie
Commercial Vehicle and Fleet Director

Career History

Mark began his motor industry career with John Clark Motor Group in 1994, joining the Ford brand with Evans Halshaw in 2010. Moving to Ford Retail as General Manager of our Bradford & Huddersfield businesses in 2013, Mark was appointed as Fleet and CV Director in November 2014.

Mark has also assumed responsibility for compounding and logistics within the group. With his team, he has overseen an extremely successful period for our Fleet & CV Division, with TrustFord being named Fleet News Fleet Dealer of the Year on four occasions in that time.

Aftersales Director

Career History

Stuart has years of experience in Aftersales roles - starting as Technician before working as Workshop Controller, Advisor, Manager, and beyond. His versatile expertise extends across multiple automotive brands, including Mazda, Honda, Porsche, Nissan, Mercedes, and Ford, where he’s held various management positions.

With a comprehensive professional journey encompassing Site, Regional, and Group roles, Stuart has garnered valuable insights and experience within the motor industry. He has worked with a number of well-known companies including JCT600, Dixons, Evans Halshaw, Sytner, Benfield and Lookers.

As Aftersales Director, Stuart leads TrustFord’s Aftersales Operations, including our National Mobile Service Division, Aftersales Contact Centres, Bodyshops & Smart Repair and our network of PartsPlus sites.

David Cox
Passenger Vehicle Sales Director

Career History

David has 40+ years of service in the Automotive Industry and boasts an impressive 30+ years specifically aligned with Ford. David started his automotive journey as a Parts Advisor before becoming Parts Manager in 1982. In 1986, a strategic move to vehicle sales culminated in his appointment as Sales Manager within 12 months. During the subsequent phase of his professional journey; starting in 1991, he worked for two significant Ford dealer groups in regional management roles.

In September 2005, David joined Ford Retail.  His extensive industry and product knowledge, coupled with the wealth of experience gained over the years, positions him well as TrustFord’s Passenger Vehicle Sales Director.
